Hyper Bench positions: Decline, incline, and flat

For any exercise where you need a bench, it is either going to be positioned flat, decline, incline or nearly vertical in the case of seated shoulder presses. The York 13 in 1 Hyper Bench can be set to all of these positions allowing for full development of the chest and shoulder muscles.

You can also perform biceps exercises when using the front seat section in the preacher curl position.

The thick padded backrest and seat allow you to workout with even very heavy weight without feeling uncomfortable. This also has the added benefit of helping to add stability to the exercises.

The padded rollers at the front of the York Hyper Bench have been added to allow you to hook your feet underneath to make sure you don’t slide off the bench when set to a decline position.

Exercise options:

  • Dumbbell chest flyes
  • Shoulder press
  • Dumbbell Bench press
  • Sit ups
  • Bicep curls
  • Hyper extensions

This bench has been mainly designed for people who are just starting their fitness resolutions or looking to begin an exercise program from home.

If you combine the York 13 in 1 DB Hyper Bench with an adjustable dumbbell set such as the Bodymax Selectabell Dumbbells (2 x 32.5kg), then you can perform a range of upper body exercises while still being able to easily store the equipment when not in use.

Review Rating

Overall the York 13 in 1 DB/Hyper Bench offers all the flexibility in positioning you need for home workouts and provides you with a wide range of exercise possibilities when combined with a good quality set of dumbbells.

With so few free weight benches being available that have the decline setting, this really is a benefit for anyone buying this Hyper Bench.

Decline exercises can really improve overall chest development, as well as allowing you to perform many different variations of abs exercise that simply wouldn't be possible with a bench that only adjusted to flat or incline.
