We R Sports C100 Exercise Bike Review
The We R Sports C100 Exercise Bike forms part of their popular range of indoor cycles, with a friction pad resistance system in place of standard magnetic resistance.
Despite its low price, this is another of the bikes from We R Sports that has quickly made its way to the top 5 bestselling exercise bike list on shopping sites such as Amazon.
This review takes a look at the design features and display console options to determine the reasons behind such high ratings, and to help you decide if this is the best option for your own home fitness workouts.

Design features
If you’re considering buying a new exercise bike but are on a limited budget, the We R Sports C100 is currently one of the most competitively priced studio bikes available.
[one_half]Available in a range of colour combinations to suit your own personal preference, apart from the aesthetics, this bike does actually have a range of useful features.
To ensure you maintain a natural posture that reduces pressure on your lower back, the seat is both horizontally and vertically adjustable.
Although it’s not particularly wide, this is generally best for allowing unrestricted movement of your legs while cycling. The shape and padding also make it feel very similar to many outdoor road bike saddles.[/one_half]

Unlike some studio bikes we’ve seen, you can’t change adjust the angle of the handlebars. This tends to be one of the sacrifices you need to make with entry level cycles, but there are bikes available that do offer this feature if you need it.
The ergonomic shape of the handlebars gives you multiple options when it comes to choosing your grip position, which will tend to vary depending on the intensity of your workout.
In place of the magnetic resistance system that you find on standard upright bikes, the We R Sports C100 uses the friction generated by a friction padding rubbing against the flywheel to generate resistance.
This can be adjusted using a small dial just above the 10kg flywheel.
The frame itself is fairly low profile which makes it easier to step on and off the bike, with pedal straps that are quick and easy to adjust when needed.

Display console design
[one_half]As with most studio / spinning style bikes, the display console for the We R Sports C100 has a very simplistic style to it, with just a single button function.
This is to scroll through the various workout feedback displayed on the LCD screen, which includes your calories burned, distance, time, speed, and scan.
Unlike upright or recumbent bikes, studio bikes don’t tend to offer any preset workout programs, hence the lack of display console options.[/one_half]
[one_half_last][/one_half_last]
This doesn’t mean to say that you can’t enjoy an effective workout though, with even the most basic feedback making it possible to create new training goals for each session.
Whether you want to cycle for 3 minutes longer each workout, or cycle for an extra 10km, it’s measurable goal setting like this that will help you see consistent improvements in your level of physical fitness.
We specifically didn’t mention calories burned as a goal setting target, as this figure is often inaccurate between lower priced machines, but also between sessions on the same machine.
If you’re looking for a way to measure your calories burned more accurately, look for an exercise bike that allows you to enter at least your age and bodyweight.

Customer reviews
Along with several other exercise bikes in their range, the We R Sports C100 has received a very impressive collection of highly rated reviews on sites such as Amazon.
This is not only an encouraging sign that the bike you’re choosing has met or exceeded the expectations of people who were in a similar position to you, but also creates a very useful research resource.
You can currently find over 50 reviews on Amazon alone, the vast majority of which are rating this bike at the full5 stars.
If you were to take a look at bikes 2 or 3 times the price, in many cases you wouldn’t find an average rating this high.
But why is this bike in particular proving so popular amongst home gym users?
After reading through each of the reviews ourselves, we’ve been able to come up with some of the reasons, based on the points most frequently mentioned by real reviewers with experience of using this bike in their own homes.
