JTX Cyclo-5 design features
[one_half]The next step up from the popular Cyclo-2 and Cyclo-3 models, there are some marked improvements to both the design and the types of workout programmes available.
The base of the bike that contains the 9kg flywheel is a lot more compact, making it easier to store and use with a more limited space.
Being 16kg heavier, the JTX Cyclo-5 looks and feels like a very stable bike with no reported problems caused by either wobbling or noise when in use.
This is also helped by the electromagnetic resistance creating no friction on the flywheel and the large base support bars positioned at the front and back of the bike.
This is also the first bike in the Cyclo range to offer padded arm rests on the handlebars. Throughout your workout you may often change between cycling intensity which will also have an effect on your body and arm position.[/one_half]

Utilising the ergonomic, racer style handlebars and padded arm rests you can lean forwards for sprinting, hold the horizontal bar section for sitting back during cool downs and even hold the top section of the handlebars when standing up to target your glute muscles more effectively.
Both the pedal straps and seat height are fully adjustable to take into account different user heights and body types. The higher seat settings and length of handles mean the JTX Cyclo-5 is still perfectly suited for taller users over 6ft.
Another of the improvements over the JTX Cyclo-3 is in the frame strength. Whereas the Cyclo-3 was limited to a maximum user weight of 130kg, the Cyclo-5 has a maximum of 150kg. This is one of the highest available on any exercise bike, as can be seen through our exercise bike comparison chart.

Workout programmes and display unit design
[one_half]Listening to music while you train can be a great way to stay motivated and train for longer, leading to more beneficial results.
The JTX Cyclo-5 is the earliest bike in the Cyclo range to offer built in speakers on the display unit. By simply connecting your MP3 player or phone to the display unit just above the speaker you can listen to all your favourite music instantly.
There has even been a specially designed recess built in to store your phone or MP3 player so you don’t have to worry about it sliding off during your training session.[/one_half]

The controls themselves are kept very simple, with none of the usual variety of resistance adjustment buttons. By limiting the number of buttons this helps to make quicker decisions and changes to your training mid-workout and even just helps start your workout quicker.
The JTX Cyclo-5 offers 16 levels of electromagnetic resistance, which can be adjusted at the touch of a button.
The variety of workouts is also a big improvement over the Cyclo-3, with 15 now available instead of 10. These include 7 pre programmed workouts (including hill cycling and interval training), 4 heart rate controlled programmes and 4 custom programmes you can design yourself.
The 4 custom programmes go well with the 4 possible user profiles that can be setup. If there will be more than one person using this bike then you can each have custom workouts to save having to adjust all the settings each time someone different has their workout.
For the heart rate controlled programmes, a chest strap and built in computer will accurately monitor your heart rate and automatically adjust the resistance to keep you in your target heart rate range.
