Design features
Whether you are running on a treadmill or cycling on a recumbent bike, it’s important the machine can match your natural running or cycling motion.
The York Perform 215 recumbent bike makes this possible with the wide range of seat adjustment options, allowing you to change how close you are to the pedals.
Heart rate hand sensors have also been built into the handles to provide an accurate heart rate measurement to be displayed on the screen, which are useful for the heart rate controlled programs and fitness test.
Extra thick padding has been added to both the seat and back rest to ensure your workouts are as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Ease of assembly
[one_half]Although you may only need to setup the York Perform 215 recumbent bike once, it can still be useful to know how easy it is to put together, as well as the quality of the assembly instructions.
Fortunately York are well known for the high quality of their user manuals, providing detailed information on not just the assembly, but also on how best to use and maintain the bike once setup.
To make things a bit easier, the main flywheel housing and base frame arrive already built, with a clear list of parts and steps required to complete the remaining assembly.[/one_half]

While many of these steps are quite complex in terms of the number of parts and stages, the complete setup is covered in just 3 pages. There is also an exploded drawing at the end to make it clearer if you prefer to work from that.

Display console design
[one_half]Featuring a similar design to the York Perform 210 upright cycle, the display console for the York Perform 215 recumbent bike combines buttons with a central jogwheel to help making selections as quick and easy as possible.
The 32 levels of magnetic resistance can be adjusted by rotating the jogwheel, while the buttons have been added to provide basic functions such as starting and stopping your workout. As well as these more basic functions, there are also two different types of fitness test you can carry out.[/one_half]
[one_half_last][/one_half_last]
Recovery – This can be used at the end of your workouts for measuring how quickly your heart rate returns to normal after exercise.
Body Fat – Offers a simple way of testing your body fat percentage and BMI.
The main 5.5 inch display screen contrasts the blue backlighting with white text to make important workout information easier to read. This can be even more important with recumbent bikes than upright designs as you will usually be seated further away from the display.
In terms of the actual workout information displayed, you can keep track of your time, speed, distance, calories burned, heart rate, and even resistance level all at the same time.
