The York SB300 Diamond Indoor Training bike is York’s entry to the spinning style range of exercise bikes available.
Gaining in popularity due to how effective they are seen to be in commercial gyms, there are a few important design points that make the SB00 well suited to this intense style of cycling.
Fully adjustable for a range of body types
[one_half]While regular exercise bikes will usually be used for moderate paced cycling and occasional heavy sprint intervals, the whole design of the York SB300 is based around high intensity workouts for longer periods of time.
In order to see the most progress from the effort you put into your workout, it’s important your body is in the optimum position before you start your cycling.[/one_half]

The seat can be adjusted vertically using a hand wheel on the side of the support post, as well as horizontally using a similar hand wheel positioned just under the seat.
This mainly helps with getting into an effective, natural cycling position where the pedals never feel too close or too far away.
The height of the handlebars can also be adjusted to stay in alignment with your body when adjusting the height of the seat.

Resistance levels, storage and safety
[one_half]While there are a few spinning style exercise bikes that have a display console (Such as the JTX Cyclo-6), the majority of these bikes aren’t designed with this feature.
Even though the York SB300 falls into the second category, this isn’t necessarily a problem. If you do prefer to keep watching your workout information throughout your training then you can always buy an activity tracker or simple heart rate monitor.
To make the SB300 easier to store, wheels have been added to the front so you can tilt the bike forwards and change its position when not in use.
This is particularly useful due to the 54kg product weight, which is a lot heavier than many of the upright stationary bikes you may be used to.
The resistance is controlled using a hand wheel adjustment just above the attachment for storing your drinks bottle.[/one_half]
Increasing the resistance will press increase the pressure of the friction pad against the large flywheel and make it feel more like a hill climb to provide a more intense workout.
For safety, the direct chain drive system is well concealed using a simple cover and there is a quick stop lever underneath the main handlebars that can act as an emergency push brake.
