From a seated position, you can then extend your legs in front of you and cross them at your ankles, resting your calve muscle on top of the roller. You can then alternate rolling your calf muscles over the top to get an effective calf massage.

You can work different sections of your back by positioning the foam roller under your back and adopting almost a sit up position. With your arms crossed in front of your chest you can then slowly roll forwards and backwards over the roller, making sure to focus either on the lower back or upper back at any one time.
