Paleo Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

Paleo Chocolate Cupcakes

Yields 12 cupcakes


  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup honey (can substitute maple syrup)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350F, and line a standard cupcake tin with cupcake papers.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, eggs, and vanilla. Combine with the flour mixture and stir until no clumps remain.
  3. Scoop the batter into the lined cupcake pan, filling each cup 2/3 full. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Cool on a wire rack before frosting and serving.
