The 10kg Bodymax Olympic plates are made from cast iron and designed for use with full sized Olympic barbells and weight plate pegs. Also available in the range are plates in sizes of 1.25kg, 2.5kg, 5kg, 15kg, 20kg, and 25kg.
Weight plate design
One of the great benefits of the Bodymax range of cast iron Olympic plates is the full list of sizes that are available, ranging from 1.25kg all the way up to 25kg.
Although it isn’t necessary to build up a collection of weight plates from one particular company, if you were to buy a set of plates and like how they look and feel, it’s good to know that the full range of sizes are available.
Unlike some plastic coated designs where the casing may damage from being dropped, the 10kg Bodymax Olympic plates are made from cast iron and coated with a hammertone finish to ensure they are as reliable and durable as possible.[/one_half]

Either side of the 2 inch diameter central hole (a design feature of all Olympic plates), a space has been created to make them easier to grip.
This is particularly useful for 10kg plates, where they will often be switched between different bars to perform a wide range of exercises, ranging from barbell curls to overhead tricep extensions.

10kg Bodymax Olympic Cast Iron Weight Plates – Features Summary
When to use the 10kg plates
Due to their design being Olympic rather than ‘standard’, the 10kg Bodymax Olympic plates are for use with full sized Olympic barbells, either free weight or as part of a compatible smith machine.
Many weights benches now also feature a number of different attachments, including a leg developer, pec fly arms, and a lat pulldown tower.
The majority of these will be designed to take standard weight plates, but simply attaching a special adapter sleeve to the weight plate peg will allow you to use these plates.
