The leg developer and preacher curl attachments create additional exercise options that are normally only found attached to a multi gym or weights bench with accompanying barbell rack.
Without having a barbell rack built into the frame this gives you more freedom to combine the bench with a free standing squat rack or power cage, or even perform dumbbell exercises when used on its own.

These range from nearly vertical (for seated dumbbell and military presses), to various levels of incline, flat, and even decline.
The height of the preacher curl can be adjusted to find the most effective position for you to perform the exercise, with the resistance created by loading weight plates onto the front weight plate peg.
If you would like to use the bench on its own without the preacher curl or leg developer attachments then these can be removed.
The base of the frame at the front of the bench has been designed to be wider than on most benches to provide extra stability, with rubber feet added to prevent the bench moving or damage to the floor.

The Bodymax CF330 has been designed as a base on which to combine various other items of weightlifting equipment to create an effective full body workout plan.
Even with a simple dumbbell and weight plate set there is a wide range of exercises to choose from to work each upper body muscle group.

Lower body exercises
Although free standing weights benches without a built in squat rack are better suited to upper body workouts, there are still two important isolation exercises you can perform for legs; leg extensions and hamstring curls.
Leg extensions – With the required weight loaded onto the front weight plate peg, by sitting on the bench and positioning your feet behind the lower set of padded leg rollers you can perform leg extensions.
This exercise is effective for isolating the quadriceps while being low impact on the joints.
Hamstring curls – Lying hamstring curls can be performed on the Bodymax CF330 through setting the back support to a flat position, lying on the bench and positioning your calves behind the highest set of foam rollers.
This is an excellent exercise for isolating your hamstrings and best combined with stiff legged deadlifts if your home gym also has a barbell set.
