FINNLO Autark 1500 Multi Gym Review
If you have the space in your home gym for a multi gym, then the Finnlo Autark 1500 is definitely worth considering.
The Autark 1500 is situated in the middle of the Autark range of multi gyms and produced by a company well known for manufacturing high quality exercise equipment.

Upper body workouts
While many multi gyms are designed to have the low cable pulley under the seat, the Finnlo Autark 1500 has a completely separate pulley system that runs off to the side.
This gives you much more room to provide low cable pulley exercises such as upright rows, while not really taking up a great deal more space.
The wide bar attachment provided can be attached to the high cable pulley to be used for exercises such as wide grip and close grip pulldowns to work your back muscles.
The two padded sections mean that you can pull the bar down and rest it comfortably on the back of your shoulders if you wanted to perform seated, weighted abdominal crunches.
[one_half]The main feature of the Finnlo Autark 1500 is the pressing arms that can be used either for chest presses or pec flys depending on your arm and grip positioning.
By adjusting the seat and back rests to a position where you can comfortably grip the horizontal handles, the lever arms will move in a forward motion to effectively build overall size and strength in your chest muscles.
The vertical padded arm rests are perfectly positioned for pressing your forearms or palms against when you want to perform pec flys to focus more on the inner chest development.
The final cable pulley that is really designed for upper body exercises such as overhead tricep extensions is positioned just above the padded back rest.
When used with a rope cable attachment, you can sit in the seat and extend this over your head to work your triceps. You can also rest the rope on your shoulders and lean forward to achieve a different angle of weighted abdominal crunches.[/one_half]

Lower body workouts
[one_half]The main lower body exercise possible with the leg developer on the Finnlo Autark 1500 is the leg extension, which will focus on the development of your quadricep muscles.
To prevent you from rising up in the seat when performing this exercise, a set of handles has been added under the seat to hold onto and keep your upper body position fixed.
By standing facing the weight stack and resting your calf muscle against one of the lower padded rollers on the leg developer you can also perform leg curls to help develop the muscles in your hamstrings.

Frame design and pulley system
[/one_half]
[one_half_last][/one_half_last]The overall frame design of the Finnlo Autark 1500 has been created to reduce any chance of movement in the machine when performing exercises, mainly on the high cable pulley.
The solid frame structure around the top of the chest press arms ensures there is no movement in the top support bar even when performing pulldowns with the full 80kg weight stack (or even 100kg if you opt for the upgrade).
As with other multi gyms in the Autark range, the main weight stack is protected by a safety cover, which also helps improve the overall aesthetic look of the machine. Either side of the weight stack there are two triangular support frames that provide extra stability and prevent the tower from rocking when using heavier weights on either the high or low cable pulleys.
