Upper body workouts with the FINNLO Autark 600 Multi Gym

Back muscles

For working your back muscles, there is the main lat pulldown bar which has been positioned to hand just above the front of the seat.

From a standing position you can also lift the lat pulldown bar off the purpose designed hooks that it can rest on, and while keeping your arms nearly straight bring the bar down so your hands are by your thigh for another back exercise variation.

Chest muscles

For working the chest muscles there are two main options built into this design. You can chest press holding the handles on the main arms of the machine, or you can bring your arms out to your sides and position your forearms on the padded vertical arm rest sections to perform the chest flys.

Whereas many multi gyms are designed for the chest press to move straight forward, the FINNLO Autark 600 chest press moves through an angle closer to 45 degrees to help work the upper chest more at the top of the movement and improve your overall chest development.

Bicep curls and ab crunches

The low cable pulley also allows for any number of bicep curl variations, particularly if you purchase a separate pair of single cable handles. This can also be used for lateral and front raises for exercising your shoulders, and upright rows for building muscle in your shoulders, traps and biceps.

One final feature worth mentioning with the FINNLO Autark 600 that you may not have seen on other multi gyms is the rope attached to the cable pulley behind the seat’s headrest. From a seated position facing away from the weight stack, this then makes it possible to hold onto the rope handles from next to your shoulders, and lean forward to work your abdominal muscles.

Lower body workouts

As well as the variety of upper body exercises, the FINNLO Autark Multi Gym also gives you options for working lower body muscles such as your hamstrings and quadriceps.

The padded rollers on the front of the seat allow you to tuck your ankles behind the lower set and perform leg extensions against the resistance of the weight stack.

From a standing position you can also face towards the weight stack while standing to one side of the seat and press the back of your calf muscle against the lower padded roller. By bringing your ankle up towards your lower back you will then effectively work your hamstring muscles.
