Chest and tricep workouts

Even with all the advances in modern gym equipment design and all the new machines, dips still remain one of the most effective ways to work your triceps, chest, and shoulders.

[one_half]The Marcy Bruce Lee Power Station features dip bars which allow you to perform this exercise, with coated handles to make the grip more comfortable.

With a recommended weight limit of 135kg for the dip bars, this can include both your bodyweight and additional weight plates on a dip belt (e.g. 90kg bodyweight and 2 x 20kg plates on a dip belt).[/one_half]

Another exercise that is effective for working your triceps and pectorals is the push up. To add an extra element of difficulty to an already effective exercise, the Marcy Bruce Lee Power Station includes an adjustable lumbar support bar.

This padded bar can be attached lower to the base to provide a platform for your feet to rest on, creating a slight decline when performing your push ups.

    Back workouts

If you are trying to build width and overall strength in your back muscles, one of the best exercises you can include in your workouts is the wide grip pull up.

This is why the Marcy Bruce Lee Power Station features a set of handles for performing chin ups, as well as a set for performing wide grip pull ups.

These handles are also reversible, which means you can choose to perform the exercise from the same side as the dip bars, or from the opposite side of the tower if you prefer more space.

Similar to the design of the dip and leg raise handles, these have also been coated to reduce the pressure on your hands, improve your grip, and make the exercise more comfortable.

A small step section has been added to each side of each of the vertical supports to act as a foot rest to help reach the pull up handles, as well as for getting into position to perform the leg raises.

    Abdominal training

An important part of upper body workouts is abdominal and core training. This helps to improve balance and strength in the compound multi-joint movements such as squats and overhead presses, as well as being beneficial to everyday activities.

The Marcy Bruce Lee Power Station allows you to perform 3 of the most effective exercises for overall abdominal and oblique muscle development; situps, roman chair leg raises, and hanging oblique twists.[/one_half]
[one_half_last]The padded lumbar support bar can be adjusted to the lower position to help with performing situps[/one_half_last]

For performing situps the padded lumbar support can be positioned at the lowest setting to hook your feet underneath and concentrate on upper and central abdominal development.

For more of a focus on the obliques and lower abs, the lumbar support can be positioned at the higher setting to provide lower back support when performing leg raises and oblique twists.
