Tunturi Multi-Functional Pull Up Bar
If you want to be able to perform a range of bodyweight exercises but don’t have the space for a power tower, the Tunturi Multi-Functional Pull Up Bar could be a better option.
With no complicated assembly or heavy frame, there’s a whole range of exercises it can be used for, including sit ups and pull ups.

Design features
[one_half]One of the most effective exercises you can perform for total back development is the pull up. Unfortunately, if you want to include this exercise in your home workouts this will often require a large, free-standing pull up tower.
This is why Tunturi have developed their multi-functional pull up bar.
As long as you have a door frame with enough depth to support the horizontal section of the pull up bar (4.5″ to 6″), you can perform both pull ups and chin ups without the need for the full tower.[/one_half]

As well as saving space, this also makes it much easier to move around and store away when not in use.
Although there are other pull up bar designs that are a much simpler straight bar, sitting between the door frame, these don’t provide the same security as the Tunturi Multi-functional bar.

Exercise options
While the name suggests that this bar can only be used for pull ups, the shape of the frame actually also allows you to perform dips, sit ups, and push ups.
If you are looking for more of an abdominal workout, you can even buy a set of ab straps. With the bar attached to the top of the door frame, the ab straps can support your arms and upper body while you perform leg raises and hanging leg twists.
Together, these exercises will enable you to work the following muscle groups:

Benefits of pull ups
[one_half]Whether it’s bench presses, overhead presses, squats, or pull ups, compound movements should be a key part of any weightlifting routine if you are looking to build strength and size in your upper back.
Even if you are just looking to tone up or stay in shape, pull ups recruit a surprising number of upper body muscles.
This means you’re going to be burning more calories in a shorter period than with isolation exercises like concentration curls.[/one_half]

Although there is a minimum level of fitness in the fact that you should be able to perform at least one full pull up, increasing the resistance or increasing the reps are relatively easy and inexpensive to do.
Using the Tunturi Multi-Functional pull up bar is also a great way of building grip strength. Hanging from the bar and supporting your bodyweight will help build strength in your forearms, develop grip strength, and even help improve posture.
