Design features
If you are looking to buy a new weights bench on a budget but still want a selection of positions available, the Ultrasport Adjustable weight bench could be worth a look.
A simple locking pin system allows you to quickly change the back support to any one of its 8 positions, with the seat also offering a choice of 5 positions.
While many weights benches around this price offer incline positions, it’s very difficult to find a bench with decline positions for under £100.
The Ultrasport Adjustable weight bench actually manages to provide a range of decline positions thanks to the adjustable height of the frame support beneath the seat.
A few quick turns of the hand wheel lets you raise the front up to the required position, with the larger rear stabilizer bar folding away to create an effective decline.
When you finish your workout you can even fold the bench away to help preserve space when not in use.

Upper body exercise options
If you are fortunate enough to find the Ultrasport Adjustable weight bench on offer, at close to £40 this is one of the most versatile weights benches available at this price point.
When combined with a good quality dumbbell set, the large selection of positions provides a variety of effective upper body exercise options.
Due to the weight limit this bench is generally considered better for dumbbell rather than barbell workouts. A few of the more popular exercise options are listed below:
[tie_list type=”checklist”]
- Chest: Incline dumbbell press, incline dumbbell fly
- Biceps: Incline hammer curls, seated concentration curls
- Shoulders: Seated shoulder press, side lateral raises
- Triceps: Tricep kickbacks, lying tricep extensions
- Back: Dumbbell rows, pullovers, rear delt fly, seated shrugs
- Abs: Decline sit ups

Price comparison
As with any new piece of home gym equipment, it’s important to research similarly priced products to make sure you are only paying for what you need.
The Ultrasport Adjustable weight bench is in a crowded price bracket of weights benches under £100, but still manages to be the lowest priced when on offer.
The closest competing weights benches in terms of price are usually the Body Sculpture BSB512 and Physionics HNTLB08, but it can be difficult to find a store that has these in stock.
The Body Sculpture bench comes closest to the Ultrasport Adjustable bench in terms of the range of back support positions, but doesn’t offer any separate seat adjustment.
Although not as important as back support positions, finding a bench with an adjustable seat can provide some useful support during incline exercises such as presses and flys.

Customer reviews
As well as reading about the features, looking through pictures, and even watching videos, it’s important to find customer reviews wherever possible.
Unfortunately there aren’t currently as many reviews for the Ultrasport Adjustable weight bench as there are for the Body Sculpture bench.
That being said, the reviews that are available rate this bench highly, with a high proportion of reviews being 5 stars on Amazon.
